Today on Sol via Zabreško planina. The path drags like ..., otherwise no problem. Above Finžgarjeva skala there are two snow fields to cross, but it goes without winter gear. Snow is no snow at all, but slush jezen

Down to the valley via the Žirovniška path and it's a live skating rink: grass, slush, streams, snow up to the ass.
Snow ends at Prižnica and there you could pour water out of your shoes.
Admittedly I went a bit late, but I think even in the morning it's not much better. Winter gear wasn't needed, rather fishing jezik

Up via Zabreška gora and down via Žirovniška dolina. Where there is no snow, the path is dry, snow is still in the gully, on the rest of the path some patches, but no problems for passage.

I went exactly the opposite last year. Is the road to Valvasor already closed? If it is written somewhere, I missed it. In one of the next weekends, I'll go up from Zelenica, from where I already went a few years ago.

Today via Žirovniška gora, down via Zabreška. In the gully, upper part still snow that wasn't sinking through at 9 a.m., no problem though. Zabreška path a bit wet at top somewhere, otherwise all ok. Weather was great. Camera clock is one hour fast. Safe travels.

Today via the Žirovniška path to Stol. The path from 1800m onwards is bare, icy, snowy—a bit of each. Conditions are not boring, tomorrow they will be different again. Best regards

I was up there yesterday afternoon and it was already obviously greener, the ice has melted too... I'd just add that the logbook has been full for a long time.

Done loop: Javorniški Rovt - Struška, return via south path and Skalaška path to Vajnež, then ridge to Stol, descent to Valvazor and back to car Javorniški Rovt, loop about 25 km, path no issues.

Is there a stamp at Stol summit? Wife is missing Stol in SPP booklet, since hut closed only summit. Thanks.

In the SPP booklet, the stamp is from Prešeren hut on Stol and not from the summit itself, so that stamp on the summit is not the right one. The photo also serves as proof.

Today Draga and I summited Stol, from Valvasor via Žirovnica, from "water" our "guide" took us, who went from Valvasor with us to the top, took us a bit off the marked trail to the top then back on the marked trail to Valvasor, weather super, a bit of mud.....

...Not too nice a morning. Clouds were really competing, swirling, revealing rocks, blue sky, then covering everything again. Only flowers by the path didn't hide. Interesting such an experience too. In the valley the sun was shining... smile
