Hi.
Today I was at the summit from Ljubelj/Zelenica and crampons are definitely recommended, I even used the ice axe because no one has gone up the path for a long time and had to break trail. At the top I talked to hikers who came from the other direction and they say microspikes are sufficient.

The road is completely dry
Yesterday via Zabreška to the summit, then to Potoški Stol and via the concrete bivouac back to Valvasorjev dom. It was quite warm, the sun softened the snow, so the gear stayed in the backpack.
But cooling and strong northerly wind forecast for tomorrow, so conditions will be completely different.

Today on Stol via Žirovnica...up to the chapel actually no snow, further a bit icy, but for now without winter gear. Also the wind that was blowing nicely at Valvasor in the morning calmed at the summit, so really nice day..

Today I was up there with crampons, and three hikers I met also with crampons or microspikes, no one without. Above the chapel it was quite icy, but true... doable, with a few more bruises.. that's the least... Blew pretty hard, but at summit caught calm. Really super.

Little snow, this morning it was nicely frozen, towards the top in places completely windblown..otherwise crampons on and action

Currently it's like that, you mustn't go by car to the hut (although with good tires or chains you could), and also in previous winters there was organized sledding, if there was enough snow
