Today morning at 7 a.m. (Moste-Valvasor-Stol). Quite icy so crampons already a recommendation (also slip risk). On the return, gaiters better (from the south)...

Matee, I was up last week on Wednesday to the hut, there were 2 patches of frozen snow over which you could get with whatever decent tires, and since then no precipitation, I believe the path is completely bare....
P.S. I was last Wednesday on Stol, at the top at 8.30, later when we descended to the hut it started darkening and probably real bad storm at the top (in lj hail), before that we had excellent weather all the time.

from Ljubelj don't know, but three guys came, otherwise ski tourers from Austrian side

Yesterday we were on Stol. We went from Valvazorjev dom. No snow on the path at all, just some patches around. Along the path rocky slopes full of auriculas, we saw quite a few gentians, in short everything in bloom. Weather excellent, no wind. We recommend

Can someone tell me if the easy marked path to Stol is completely dry or are there still some snow patches on the path?

From the saddle onwards, the last 200 meters have two patches. One is 7 m long, one 4 m. Actually you can jump them I'm joking, nothing dangerous, by the weekend they won't be there anymore. The path is completely dry overall. In the gully between the Stols, there will be snow for a while longer.
