Does the chairlift from Ljubelj to Zelenica run?

In summer season lifts at Zelenica operate on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 7:00 to 10:30.
Chairlifts Zelenica I and Zelenica II on mentioned days operate only if weather conditions allow.

We did son's first ascent to Stol today with ascent via Žirovniška trail and descent via Zabreška trail. On top there was quite some mist, but mainly huge crowd of people. For descent Zabreška trail is definitely more pleasant because not so steep. Enjoy company of gentians, auricles, edelweiss and other wonderful mountain flowers. LP Andrej

There is also a beautiful path to the giant of the Karawanks from the Austrian side, a climbing one, not exactly for the vertiginous, but well secured, cables in excellent condition. Not too crowded either, you can also go from the Celovec hut over scree, but personally not my thing too much.

Today I was on training on Stol. The news is that the Prešeren hut will be open only until 20 September.

Bojan, congrats for the climbed ridge between (not Belščica but Svačica) and Stol! Bielschitza is just the Austrian name for Svačica mountain, otherwise Belščica (ours) is left of Stol – so slope above which on the east side is Vajnež, on the west Mali vrh, or further left Rida amphitheater. All that is green right by Stol on the left is thus Belščica (above Koroška Bela).
YES, hut on Stol operates this year until 20.9.
Congrats once more for climbed ridge over Celovška špica! (Klagenfurter Spitze) I think I understood right.
Is this path suitable for less experienced too? Where did you enter?

After roaming Pohorje a few days ago, today visited highest peak of Karawanks. Up Žirovniška, down Zabreška trail, offers really nice views in upper part. Especially with such nice weather as today. But cold on top showed that summer is slowly leaving, as morning was five degrees below zero. Hut will soon close its doors, open only another 14 days. Nice mountain greeting to all!

@ heinz: No, I don't mean climbing that wall. Probably possible here too, but it must be quite an ordeal.
The path goes entirely along the ridge. It's not marked. You can't miss it. Except right below the summit, where you have to drop to the Austrian side. Otherwise you'll face grade IV climbing.
I've marked the route with a red line. Hope it helps you.

Today it was sunny and warm on Stol, lower down foggy. I ascended to the summit via Zabreška path, descended via Žirovniška path.

Great Tadej! How's the road to Valvazorja now? They say it was repaired a few years ago also for passenger cars, and did they say until when Prešernova is still open? Thanks and regards.

Viharnik, the road to Valvazorja is fine. Prešernova hut is open until 20.9.2009.

The road is a bit torn up in places, but drivable without issues. Some caution is needed, like on all mountain roads.
