I intend to climb the Orlič ridge (from Belščica saddle to Stol).
Is this route similar in difficulty e.g. to Na Možeh-Palec, Zeleniške špice or Košutnikov turn-Tolsta Košuta (I've already climbed those) Harder, easier?

Today's fairy tale at Prešeren hut below Stol (2174m). Didn't go to the top of Stol, but it's trampled to the hut

Quick decision to visit Stol today turned out to be a good choice.
Starting point at the lake in Završnica in the dark. I reach Valvasor hut quickly, as the path was dry and still frozen. A little (few cm) snow starts just below Valvasor. Here I take a short break, when the sun rises, I continue towards Žirovnica pasture.
It went quickly here too. From the pasture onwards to Prižnica the path is in all states, dry, muddy, icy and also snowy but you can progress normally.
I pull out winter gear only when I get out of the scrub. Snow of all kinds, wind-packed, hard, crusty...
Between the two Stols the wind was blowing quite hard so it was slower
No wind on the summit, nor at Prešeren hut.
I descend past the hut towards Zabreška pasture. The base here is good, only where wind-packed snow, it sank, otherwise no problems. Just before Žirovnica pasture the path is wet, very muddy, but only for 10m or so.
Then coffee at Valvasor and jump to the parking lot. On the whole route, which took me 4h 50min, I met only about a dozen hikers.

Possible with normal car to Valvasor? A month ago it was all torn up... Snow, ice on the road?

Conditions today, as they should be. Some strong wind on the ridge of Mali Stol and during descent in the gully between the Stols. Above 2000 m super hard base.
The biggest trouble is the descent on the icy Žirovniška path.

What are the conditions on Stol? I'm deciding between Begunjščica, Stol and Mojstrovka but don't know what they are up there, would go on Sunday.

30.1 On the Zabreški path to the top, and back via the Žirovniški path.
During the ascent to the top via the Zabreški path, crampons come into play once when crossing the "plaz", maybe ice axe; otherwise the path is super, without icy sections, where there are any (below the hut) they can be avoided.
From the hut to the top, I recommend crampons (semi-automatic, automatic), ice axe not needed. There are some icy slabs.
On descent from the hut to Valvasorjev dom, crampons not necessary, but quite recommended at least to the bushes.
P.S. The road to Valvasorjev dom is icy in sections on the last 2 km.

When walking with crampons, the use of an ice axe is mandatory.
