Pics on higher level.
Worse weather doesn't spoil pics at all, or makes some even more dramatic. That's simply not possible with ordinary "trotl" digicams (like mine).

That's a ptarmigan or snow grouse.
They are most often observed in the Karawanks, unfortunately on the northern, Austrian side.

Today from the parking at Ljubelj past the Dom on Zelenica to Vrtača. I first wanted to summit via the unmarked path through Suho rušje, but unfortunately missed the junction. No problem, I'll come again. LP

I had the chance to observe ptarmigans on the tour to Kanjavec last year. There were several, but I couldn't photograph them so nicely. Among those rocks they camouflage well. Tomorrow morning really at six at Ljubelj and I hope the weather won't prank too much.
