We drove almost to Tinčkova hut without problems. Right under the hut it's torn up, so I recommend a bit lower where there's enough space!! But attached comments to wrong pics, sorry zadrega

In terms of height it really holds second place in the Karavanke, but its north face has no real rival...

My favorite approach to its base is from Završnica valley. This time over lonely cirque Suho ruševje and up southeast ridge to the top. Wonderful tour in all respects and with huge luck regarding fog velik nasmeh

Completely different spectrum of colors. Krnica Dry scree.

The path mainly runs along the southern side of the ridge.

the views are already wonderful from here.

From the summit real splendor towards the west

Over the vast plain of clouds very far to the north,

and there would be nothing if we were at the top just one hour later.

Edina, how from Suho ruševje to SW ridge? According to the pictures you probably meant SE or E ridge.

so you ascended the southeast ridge...along this ridge there's a path or track called Čez male glave....

It's dry...except in the eastern gully there are a couple patches, and below in the scrub....YOU'RE TOTALLY BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE FOR S.V. RIDGE HUH.....you don't mean J.V. ridge zavijanje z očmi

Dwarf pines annoy me too. So I'm waiting for lots of snow to freeze well, so that the approach to Vrtača over dry scrub and Y-couloir is a real treat. On the way, hop to nearby Palec and Zelenjak, which in spring can be trickier due to rotten snow, as the approach is from the south.

Hi Juš, if still relevant; on that nasty ridge at the start up top there was still some snow, I'd say drifted. As far as seen from the top onwards, dry. The part of the ridge visible from the cirque from the boulder where my path turned left, also dry.

Snork that's the path. I groomed it for a while and it's really nice, scenic, lonely nasmeh
