Description:
Obere Fruschnitzscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2946 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 0.5 km southwest of peak Gamsspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Stüdlhütte, located 2km southeast. A little further is bivouac Glocknerbiwak. 7 km east of the saddle there is lake Sandersee. 1.6 km north-northeast from the saddle there is glacier Fruschnitzkees, 1.9 km east-northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Teischnitzkees. The saddle is located east-southeast of the valley Dorfer Tal.
