Description:
Luckenkogel is 3025 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 0.6 km east-southeast of peak Gamsspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Stüdlhütte, located 1.6km south-southeast. bivouac Glocknerbiwak is also relatively close. 6 km east of the peak there is lake Sandersee. 1.0 km east-northeast from the summit there is glacier Teischnitzkees, 1.4 km north from the summit there is also glacier Fruschnitzkees. The peak is located north-northwest of the valley Ködnitztal.
