Keilscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 3180 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 9 km southeast from the center of Enzingerboden and 12 km northwest of Winkl and 1.1 km west of peak Großer Bärenkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Heinrich Schwaiger Haus, located 4km north-northeast. A bit closer is bivouac Gruberscharten-Biwak, which is located 1.5km to the northeast. 7 km south-southeast of the saddle there is lake Sandersee. 0.5 km north-northwest from the saddle there is glacier Westliches Bärenkopfkees, 1.2 km northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Östliches Bärenkopfkees. East-southeast of the saddle is the valley Käfertal.
