Description:
Bockkarscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2996 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 1.0 km west-northwest of peak Breitkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Schwarzenberghütte, located 4km northeast. A bit closer is bivouac Gruberscharten-Biwak, which is located 3km to the north-northeast. 6 km south-southeast of the saddle there is lake Sandersee. 0.9 km northeast from the saddle there is glacier Nördliches Bockkarkees, 1.1 km south from the saddle there is also glacier Südliches Bockkarkees. The saddle is located west of the valley Käfertal.
